Web/Graphic Designer

Reporting to the company directors, you will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams.   You will be part of a forward thinking, fast-paced and somewhat chaotic environment that comes with a small business that is growing quickly. You will need to be comfortable in creating your own way and make this role your own utilising team meetings where needed to align strategy and direction.

You will be well presented, highly organised and have a can do attitude to be driven to get results. You will need to love being hands-on with the drive to take an idea and make it happen!

Web Design

In the role as a web design you are responsible for creating a site or pages, this includes the design, layout and coding, this can mean working on a brand new website or updating an already existing site. It is important to us to train you in the ability to make things happen on a limited budget, to get immediate results and more importantly be effective at all times.Excellent time management, as well as work and commit to deadlines is of high importance to our agency. We also expect a high sense of urgency and attention to detail from you as well as the ability to work autonomously on projects. Further, we want you to take lead in the project management and contractor / sub-contractor management on future projects. You’ll report to the CTO, Joe Brown on a regular basis. Further responsibilities of the job include:

  • Creating web site designs
  • Producing sample sites
  • Meeting with clients to discuss requirements and/or project progress
  • Demonstrating and receiving feedback about draft sites
  • keeping up-to-date with recent technological and software developments
  • Developing skills and expertise in appropriate software/programming languages including CSS, html5, Javascript, WordPress, WooCommerce& other major ecommerce platforms, API integrations, CRO, SEO and others
  • Website maintenance
  • On-site SEO Optimization
  • Producing products that are user-friendly, effective and appealing
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Project management and keeping clients tasks and status up to date in Asana
  • Providing support and expertise on development technologies and environments
  • Establish standards procedures for, and ensure company-wide adherence to web development projects
  • Develop air-tight internal processes and systems that support our strategic vision and enhance the services, strategy, and performance we deliver to our clients
  • Continuously build and strengthen client relationships to facilitate a successful, fulfilling, and harmonious professional relationship

Graphic Design

In your role as a graphic designer you will be part of the Communications team, which is responsible for providing strategic advice and support to staff regarding internal and external communication and community engagement. Your role requires that you are keen to to work across a variety of disciplines including branding, print, web, digital, events, social and publications.

you will be involved with the following responsibilities

  • Providing strategic advice on visualising marketing messages to drive best performance across digital marketing channels
  • Providing accurate work estimates that permit prioritisation and assignments to be made
  • Managing design projects, with creative direction from the Art Director and creative team.
  • Producing print and digital design for a range of corporate clients.Projects including branding, report and document layout, press advertisements, hoarding and large format design, digital design
  • Creating &designing content for social media
  • Keep clients tasks and status up to date in Asana
